Im going to try and run 100km to prevent blindness
Wednesday 5th Oct When I was 18 years old, and at college in my home in Donegal, i witnessed an man with albinism (who had very impaired vision), walk into a floating staircase and smash his head on it. Not only was he badly physically injured, but some other students laughed at what happened to him. I went over to help him pick up his books, and asked if he was ok. He was clearly in a lot of pain, and felt humiliated by the other students. He replied that stuff like that happened to him all the time. When i went home that night, it upset me a lot to think of how unfair the world could be that some people should have to suffer like that. In that moment, I made a decision that if I had an opportunity to help people with impaired vision or blind, I would.Thank you to my Sponsors
